The Twitter API Is Why You Miss Tweets

All services and plug-ins that rely on Twitter make calls to its API. The number of API calls per hour is limited. It’s entirely possible within an hour to use up the limit and to stop getting tweets — hence, tweets being dropped. The only solution is for Twitter to up that amount or to use your Twitter home page via Refresh to see all tweets. A royal PITA!
